Laying the groundwork

We’ve started installing trench drains. Measuring nearly 100 linear feet, these drains will help us keep the brewery clean and safe. The contractor measured, marked, and cut the floor. Then they broke the concrete. And now, we’re digging in the dirt. The trenches will be secured in the slightly sloped floor for optimum functionality. In addition to all that brewery drainage, we are cutting concrete and digging to put in the drainage for two restrooms and the bar.

This is functional, but it’s also fun to see. This is the first move in our 12-week construction project. It truly is the groundwork for all that is to come.

We are really making a mess now.
